  • The architecture is worth looking at especially the design for light and ventilation. The old traditional huts have some very engaging wood carvings. If mosquitoes like your blood please carry a spray...  more »
  • But there would be so much better to do! The architecture is amazing, unique, adapted. The exhibits are quite poor, several rooms closed. Gardens have been laid out but the signs are no longer in place or the plants died. The gardens deserve to be most used, since the visit is fast, we would appreciate to have picnics, to participate in activities of basketry, see artists at work. In short, make a cultural center that shows a culture alive and not vestigial.

  • The architecture of this Center is splendid. It is located in a remarkable site. The garden that surrounds it is very interesting and well organized. On the other hand, the Interior is a bit disappointing. The logical sequence of rooms is not really explained. The content seemed a little shallow and fast. The Kanak culture deserves more pedagogical developments. Digital technology offers opportunities that aren't in this centre very little exploited. I expected more on J.M Tjibaou and his environment and the economic, political and cultural issues that exist today in New Caledonia. In conclusion, rather than exception and memory, emotional, that deserves to better highlight what has been and is New Caledonia.

  • Truely an architectural marvel and a must visit while in Nouméa. Easy to get to and from by bus. Excellent insight into Kanak and broader Pacific culture.
  • Stunningly beautiful architecture, and an excellent and informative cultural center. It takes some effort to get here, but it's a must-do in Noumea.
  • Fascinating insights into Kanak culture and the structure is worth a visit in its own right. New Caledonia could make much more of this. Definitely a highlight of the trip.
  • Great place, great location but somewhat a bit limited. I was expecting much more. There is such a potential, it could be much more developed.
  • Wow what a great place to visit this is an amazing experience. I love the incorporated culture's they show. Learnt heaps here. It is a beautiful culture they have.
