The first metal lighthouse constructed in France, Amedee Lighthouse Island sits inside a World Heritage-listed lagoon. The island features white-sand beaches and teal-blue waters and lures snorkelers and swimmers with its coral reefs, where tropical fish, turtles, and starfish await. When you visit the lighthouse, wear comfortable shoes and climb 247 steps to the top to take in views of the lagoon. Be aware of the island's snakes, and look out for their tracks in the sand. • 10 minutes from Noumea, inescapable island with its lighthouse of time and the atmosphere very attached to tourists. Kids as well as adults. Boat shuttles regularly and are not expensive. A very satisfactory guaranteed day. Not to forget his mask and tuba, the sea is wonderful!

  • Very festive welcome to the Polynesian. The staff is friendly, professional and efficient. The buffet is provided and varied. Setting is beautiful. Fine, white sand. Sea clear and blue. Real aquarium in its natural state or the fish and the turtles come greet us even striped knits. The very well maintained 56 m lighthouse, with a room containing his archives. This requires climbing 247 markets but worth the effort. The landscape seen from the top is magnificent. Take the complete formula with the Mary D: transportation, buffet, entertainment on-site and sunbeds on the beach.
