Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake), Pokhara
(4.4/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Visit Nepal’s second largest lake, Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake), and enjoy a peaceful walk along its scenic banks. The lake is a semi-natural body of water, fed by streams but regulated by a dam, and features an island with a Hindu temple. Hike or cycle around the lake, surrounded by verdant forest on one side, with the touristy lakeside area on its eastern bank. Rent a vividly painted boat and set off on the lake’s calm water, which reflects the towering Annapurna mountain range. Take a look at our Pokhara vacation generator to schedule your visit to Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake) and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Great place to relax. Take a self row boat. Trust me, its not difficult to row yourself. You ll learn it in 10 mins and gives you privacy. There is a temple in the middle of the lake and the lake side...  more »
  • The North side really worth it. You can find plenty of good guest house in Sedi Gazar or in Happy village. Even if you dare it, you can swim in this part.
  • One of the more touristy places in Nepal but great location with many shops/restaurants and cafés to relax after trekking
