Learn about the Nepalese soliders who fought with the British and Indian armies at Gurkha Memorial Museum. The museum's three floors display countless photographs and items such as uniforms and medals, including the Victoria Cross--the highest bravery medal. Upon entering, the melody of Nepali music greets you, accompanied by images depicting the difficult lives of Ghurka soldiers. The rest of the first floor continues in the same fashion, with audio effects alongside informative displays that focus on military history. The second floor focuses on the traditions of each infantry regiment, while the third floor displays concentrate on engineering and transport regiments. • If you are planning to visit Pokhara or in Pokhara, it's worth to explore this mesuem. It displays the history-present of Indian and British Gurkha Army and their bravery. You may also see the uniform they wore, medals they won and Victoria Cross winner as well.
  • Small museum, lots of photos, nothing interactive. Interesting only if you are keen on Gorkha or British history, otherwise better skip it for a nice hike around the hills.
  • Lots of good info on the storied Gorkha military unit through 200 years of history. Exhibits could use some TLC and mainteance.
  • Contains different military related pictures, materials and information from the time of WWI till now. Must VISITonce.
  • Worth a visit. It's quite dated inside, and the exhibitions are mainly text, but interesting nevertheless. There's three floors to visit, and you'll probably spend around an hour browsing.
