  • First off, their website is pretty helpful so you can go online to look at that as well. It's a large museum so leave yourself about 1 hour. Those who are very interested could spend up to 2 hours and...  more »
  • The museum left no technical or information impression and comes up short for a recommendation. Maybe on a raining day when a filler is needed.

  • Worth a visit. It's quite dated inside, and the exhibitions are mainly text, but interesting nevertheless. There's three floors to visit, and you'll probably spend around an hour browsing.
  • GURKHA SOLDIERS joined the British Army since 1815 and later into the Indian Army after it's independence in 1947. The MUSEUM concentrates on their history to current British Army and the Indian Army. The displays include hundreds of PHOTOGRAPHS of the many CAMPAIGNS they took part in and their REGIMENTAL LIFE. The 3-FLOOR GALLERIES are brought alive by SOUND and COLOURED LIGHT. Displays also include uniforms they wore, items they used and medals they won. Details of the Gurkha VICTORIA CROSS winners, the highest bravery medal with their citations can also be viewed.
  • Gurkha soldiers are interesting remains from the imperialist period of world history. I liked there although the exhibit was on the antiquated side with very dark halls.
  • One of the must visit places in Pokhara, the museum is a live history of the Gurkhas.
  • Good insight about Gorkha and their history
