Devi's Fall, Pokhara

2.1
#5 of 11 in Nature in Pokhara
Take a trip to Devi's Fall, an roiling cataract that cuts deep into the ground. Plunging 100 m (328 ft) down into the earth, the fall has formed an underground tunnel at its foot, approximately 150 m (500 ft) long. The surrounding park offers extensive views of the water as it heads through a series of arches and over cascades before finally plunging into the abyss. Reach the fall via taxi or bus from the main town or lake. Put Devi's Fall into our Pokhara trip planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Pokhara.

  • A bathing hölgytagja European couple, the wife of Mr. Devi disappeared rapidly rushing water. Why was the name of the waterfall. Neat little garden near the waterfall can be a walk.

  • Impression have visited 11 months without a lot of water, or deeply scooped-out crevices more strongly, "waterfall, is no. And the rainy season also will be different.

  • Much ado over nothing . Nothing spectacular or interesting . Best thing was the story on how the Falls were named . Avoid  more »

  • Devi's fall is one of the tourist attractions in Pokhara. This is one of best destinations for me to go in Pokhara. They charge few cents for entrance and there are lots of metal and handicrafts gifts shops before the entrance. It is actually a big stream from Phewa lake that follows inside a gorge. The stream seems grand during Mansoon. There are few other things around the premises to look for. There a model Nepali house and a model Nepali dresses for men and women. It has a garden at the front and a replica of mountain range that can be seen to the North of Pokhara.
  • Its osm place . I visit here in December 2016 with friends on school trip we enjoys a lot mostly here on this fall and cave. I decide to visit again because this place is so silent and enjoying . good whether condition ,good people. Best photography location you found here
  • Average experience. I was being told this was one of the best sights in pokhara. To be honest, I found it pretty mediocre as you hardly get to see the falls from such inconvenient angles of viewing. Having said that, you should visit this place if you are around as there's also a cave just across the street from this fall. So you get two places in one go. And that makes it worth. I guess.
  • It’s an ok to visit place. There isn’t much great thing to talk about. I could see this place as more of a tourist attraction visited by local people and it was too crowded when I have visited it. There is a waterfall and a park inside. Please don’t assume the kind of waterfall u generally see in other place. It’s a small waterfall to which there is no entry is given. Please look into the photos here and don’t be disappointed if you were expecting usual type of waterfall!
  • The waterfall had a very interesting story around it but wasn’t that fascinating.. the water flow was rapid and it was clear and the place was quite crowded.. nice eating joints outside infacf the best food we ate was there only

Where to stay in Pokhara

The country's second largest city has long been on the radar of international travelers, so you won't be disappointed with the number of places to stay in town. Most people look no further than the lakeside area, and if you're only in town for a short while, it really makes sense to stay by the water. You'll find standard larger hotels and pristine boutiques with attractive gardens and views, as well as a number of guesthouses run by families and aimed at backpackers. If you're going to be in town for a while longer, take a look at the rental properties available, either by the lake or in some of the less-frequented residential districts.
