Bat Cave, Pokhara

Inspirock Rating:
2.8/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web
Visit Bat Cave to see thousands of bats clinging to the ceiling. As you pass through the slippery dark cave, you'll see plenty of live fruit bats, which your guide will tell you about. If scared or claustrophobic, you don’t have to go through the whole cave, but can stick to the more open spaces. If, however, you like a bit of an adrenaline rush, follow the guide and crawl through the tiny opening leading to the surface. Bat Cave is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Pokhara Edition.

  • “The best you can see is the crowd of bats” The best you can see is the crowd of bats on the top of the cave. There access to it is not facilitated in any manner, you can feel yourself like a wild explorer going through holes in rocks. Everything is in less than 100m. You better come out of it the same way you get in, the entrance, as the opposite side is much narrower. The price is Rs 50 for adults, hope I remember well.
  • Nice little adventure... Definitely take a guide, and prepare for some climbing to get out
  • Still remember my visit in 2013. Nice place to take a tour.
