  • As every bouddhist Temple... beautiful and well maintained so... What a pleasure. The restaurant has the entrance very simple but very good

  • A really beautiful monastery, the entire system was kept very clean. Unfortunately, we were allowed to visit the monastery only from the outside. Certainly a nice change of pace to the hectic Kathmandu, but not necessarily a "must see" among the attractions.

  • Spent a few days there. Wonderful experience, we attended several 'puja'-s which were unforgettable.  more »

  • Need some peace of mind away from busy city life. Make a visit here. You will love the landscape and the arts here.
  • I have just finished a 10 day Mindfulness course at Kopan. Seriously, this place is amazing. The energy, the peace, the ability to learn and meditate and grow. I am grateful beyond words, thank you Kopan.
  • Amazing views of the valley and Boudha! The place is really beautiful, be aware of what you dress and be respectful
  • Don't fall for it. I was there for the: "Discover Buddhism" course, and I left after 4 days. The two so-called teachers were telling the strangest things: "If you're born with a disability then that's karma because in previous life you must have done something wrong, therefore you must suffer now." However, today much of this can be treated and suffering is not always necessary. Furthermore, they claim there is no such thing as a soul, only the mind. However, today science - and more specifically, quantum physics, has proven the existence of soul in human body. It is not just the fact that there is constant noise from the ongoing construction work, the lack of basic essentials such as toilet paper, or even that everything is hugely overpriced in their shop. No. The mere fact that the "teachers" had no idea what they were talking about most of the time, at times would contract each other and often ignored questions, are the main reasons for the poor quality of the course. It is therefore no surprise that I, and some others with me, decided to no longer waste our time.
  • The location was perfect for study Buddhism course, study of mind as well as any short visit or casual visit. I was in kopan monestry for November course. Fabulous experience!. Superb course! Regarding monestry- clean air, calm place. Large library, book store, coffee shop/restaurant serves yummy food , souvenir shop. Stupa garden spiritual!. Main Gompa and small Gompa-Must visit and meditate at list for some time! .
