  • Temple newari architecture, typical of Nepal, with details. Deserves to be admired inside the Durbar Square, seriously damaged by the earthquake in 2015. The site visit is still to be recommended because paying the entrance will help the people of Nepal to rebuild one of the most important sights of Kathmandu.

  • The temple of Taleju Devi, the Goddess of the erstwhile Royal Family of Nepal, is a part of the many temples at Kathmandu's Durbar Square and was closed during our visit. Our guide said that it opens ...  more »
  • Was here before and after the earthquake. In October 2016 work still continued. Entrance fee to the square still take, although there now there's nothing to watch. After sunset, as before, you can go free.

  • Taleju Bhawani is one of the sacred goddess of Mallas. The royal temple of goddess Taleju is in Bhaktapur and is the oldest among the other three. The temple is one-storeyed. Only Hindus are allowed to go inside the temple and photograph is strictly prohibited.
  • This temple is biggest and not demolished by last earthquake.The temple is opened for boosters on the festive season Dashain for one day.

  • It's a great place to visit. The doors to the temple opens once a year.
