  • Within the complex of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, pretty interesting architecture though damaged by earth quake and cannot be visited from inside. Good to take a walk around.
  • Too bad you can see only the outside door is beautiful carvings of gold Garden and pond we were there with a guide

  • The former royal residence on the main Durbar square in Bhaktapur. The whole town and its houses and temples is a masterpiece of woodcarving, the Palace of 55 Windows is the culmination and the most famous building (although for my taste, and not the most beautiful). Entrance to the Palace is through the famous Golden Gate Bridge. Very memorable place.
