  • The former royal residence on the main Durbar square in Bhaktapur. The whole town and its houses and temples is a masterpiece of woodcarving, the Palace of 55 Windows is the culmination and the most famous building (although for my taste, and not the most beautiful). Entrance to the Palace is through the famous Golden Gate Bridge. Very memorable place.

  • It is a part of the former Royal Palace is located on the Center, historic town of Bhaktapur on the outskirts of Kathmandu Durbar square. There are lots of Windows in 3 low-rise buildings, 55 (including entrance) for the number. It has fine sculptures in the window, and seeing there.

  • This palace is only accessible on the outside but it is really quite a masterpiece. Luckily the most recent earthquake didn't damage it too much. We enjoyed its location next to the Golden Arch.
