Remodelled in the 17th century by King Bhupatindra Malla, the palace's design is worth paying attention to. Admire the ornate craftsmanship and intricately carved columns, flowers, deities and of course, the true show stoppers-- 55 different peacock patterns for each huge window.   • The palace was very well maintained, a lot of people get startled​ by the amount of security there and wont enter the palace. I would recommend you to ask the guards​ who are there, they are very chilled and would answer your question and depending on the situation would also allow you to enter.
