Create an itinerary including Brandberg Mountain
Take a hike upon Brandberg Mountain, the Namibia’s highest mountain. The name of the mountain comes from the German words, which mean ‘Fire Mountain’, as the mountain sometimes glows red in the setting sun. Visit the rock painting of The White Lady, located among numerous other paintings and art in the ravine at the foot of the mountain. The place is considered to be sacred and of great significance to the Bushman tribes. See also the diversity of plant life endemic to the area, in grotesque forms adapted to the extreme climate of the area. • Love hope you
  • Wonderful
  • Ancient story about the aborigines The rock paintings were important clues to the natives and settlers as to where there might be water.
  • An interesting place in the highest mountains of Namibia. There is a hike that is only possible with a guide. Our guide was of the Damara ethnicity and spoke difficult to understand English, however we learned a lot of interesting information about the geology of the mountain range, about the local fauna and also about the local plants and their purpose. The rock paintings and information about them were a nice bonus at the end. Price 250 NAD pp/ 2022. I highly recommend it. P.S.: Headgear and 2 liters of water per person are required. 5/5
  • Beautiful surroundings, with petroglyphs and small animals.
