White Elephants, Yangon (Rangoon)
(1/5 based on 90+ reviews on the web)
White Elephants displays the animals that, throughout history and in numerous Burmese legends, were important and believed to bring good luck to those who owned them. Interestingly, the elephants are not actually white, but are in fact pinkish in color, due to their very rare condition of albinism. Here you'll see three of the elephants sadly chained to a pole, only occasionally taken outside to take part in traditional ceremonies. • Rearing Chang, this location is outside the city but is near the Yangon airport. If someone came down and then recommend to come here before seating taxi into town will get prayat. The place is opposite the Temple of stone was white, Loei. Free of charge with little food, beverage sales living. All the elephants have two ropes together.
