#4 of 13 in Parks in Yangon (Rangoon)
Spend some time surrounded with innumerable diverse plants at People's Square and Park. The complex features two parts: a square covering 28.4 hectares (70.3 acres), and a park spreading across 26.5 hectares (65.4 acres). This leaves plenty of room for family picnics, walking paths, sport courses, and festival venues. The site also draws artists, who come to find inspiration, create, and sell their works. Walk around and enjoy the views of over 130 species of trees, and about 17,000 different flowers arranged into colorful and scenic gardens. • A little away from the center of a very large park. To go on foot in the scorching heat and comfortably by taxi or bus. Park is lined with tall grass spread, including a restaurant. It will also break if time permits.

  • Very near to the Shwedagon Pagoda, as a matter of fact it is across the street, side road. Yes, impressive, relaxing, and peaceful . Sort of place, one could relax with a good book, and have a nap too...  more »

  • My last visit at peoples park 17/4/2018 Myanmar... during I lost my mobile phone... you can see my mobile fall down and I didn’t know I jus walk away... it’s a such a bad day for me....after few moment I went to find but I didn’t find...that’s day was such a bad and sad for me while I had flight back to my country at evening and I lost my mobile around 2 pm...I really mean to say is if there is strong security, facilities and cctv than I must have my mobile now... I went to the counter for announcements even but they don’t have that kind of service they just only sell a ticket.... please I am looking forward to improve in security... it’s already happened to me but shouldn’t happen to anyone often... you can see my last picture. Actually it’s was my mistake but if there was good security than I have mobile....
  • Great place! Admissions is 300k. There are roller coster, bumper cars, and other rides. Food- look for 1,000 lunch special menus. Rice, veggie, meat. The price tickets for the rides are little expensive- even by Western standards. You can walk to the Pagoda. It is worth a visit!
  • Not a "must-see" destination for tourists, as it is just a bunch of random things put together. There's an "amusement park" in the NW corner, where most of the rides aren't in operation; a large fountain that's usually out of water, a planetarium nobody visits; a rope bridge that's as boring as it sounds.
  • A wide range and green refreshing good park for recreation. A clear view to Shwedagon Pagoda for sun rising dawn time. Most festivals like Free famous singing shows & Colorful lightning show and many others .
  • The best place to go for relaxation. There are many things to do for fun there. But it is a bit crowded in public holidays.
