(3.8/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Get a taste for the humble life of General Aung San, the founder of modern Myanmar, at Bogyoke Aung San Museum. The colonial-style villa displays black and white photographs, mementos, and books. Wind your way through the modest rooms stretched over two floors, decorated with simple furniture and a few personal belongings. Stroll to the garden pond, the site of the tragic death of one of general’s sons, then head to the garage to see the white vehicle the general used to drive. Although the captions come in English, they are quite brief.
