  • Contract with a taxi driver in Ngyangswe and childbirth at a time of the quarry of Buddha! From the village it takes an hour and a half. The ride is very impressive as you pass decliv and various coloured hills. I've never seen so many kinds of different trees as in this area. The arrival at the quarry (Pindaya) leaves me a bit puzzled: total mess, bus, pilgrims, bancarellari .... a stir around continuously. A large number of people. It seems to get a bit at Gardaland! I take the elevator and arrive at the entrance of the cave. The large turnout of people the day I made this visit did miss a bit of the magic and beauty of this place. The quarry itself is something indescribable: Buddha everywhere, of any shape, any size, any material. Buddha as if it rains. Opulent, discreet, tiny, huge, gold everywhere. Each of them accompanied by the plaque with the name of the donor. Apart from the climate a bit "Carnivalesque" our eyes to a sacred place, recommend a visit to this quarry. It's a trip that is worth seeing!

  • Absolutely amazing sight of thousands of golden Buddahs long vast caves. A steep climb on a bike though. Was worth it....
