This winery offers the best view of Nyaungshwe from the ground. It is situated high on a hill overlooking the area. I had the flight of four wines, which were mediocre, but the wonderful service of... more »

Wine is ok (not amazing neither), but quite expansive (9000 to 32000 Kts for a bottle). The scenery for the sunset is really beautiful, but very touristic. I think it's better to find another place on a hill somewhere near the vineyard to enjoy the sunset without being bothered by the other people. There are literally buses coming up there... The boss of the estate is happy, you are not.
I visited the place during the sunset and I can definitely say the location is beautiful. You should go there between 4-6pm to watch the view during sunset. I enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc so after doing the tasting I moved to the bar and had 2 more glasses of this lovely wine. You can easily get there with a bicycle. Yes it's touristic but in my opinion still worth a visit.
The view is good and the ambience is pretty nice, but I have to say the wine left a lot to be desired. The sauvignon blanc was pretty good, but all the other wines on the tasting selection were pretty bad. I couldn't finish most of them because the flavour just wasn't nice at all. Admittedly I'm an amateur when it comes to wine, but my friend works in a wine shop and has a lot of experience in wine, and he also didn't like them.
Great views, but don't expect too much of the wine.
Fantastic place to watch sunset over Inle Lake with s glass of wine. The wine and the food are OK but nothing more than that. Worth a visit if you have some time.
