Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web
See around 500,000 carved Buddha figures of different sizes at Thanboddhay Paya. Two white statues of elephants guard the entrance, which leads you to a colorful pagoda dating back to the 14th century. In addition to numerous Buddha images, you can see massive statues along the aisles. Admire the 40 m (131 ft) high golden stupa in the center, and the prayer hall next to it. All the buildings the central stupa are topped with the smaller golden stupas, and you can get a great view over the scene by climbing the watchtower. Around the temple, feed the fish in the pond and see turtles swimming through the water.
