Visit Sanda Muni Paya to see why many call it the world's largest book. Situated at the base of Mandalay hill, the site features scores of brilliant white stupas, each containing marble slabs with inscriptions of the Buddha's teachings--1,774 "pages" in all. The 19th-century pagoda houses an enormous iron statue of Buddha, entirely gilded. Bear in mind that you need to take off your shoes prior to entering here.   • Truly one of the most beautiful Myanmar thanks to Paya peculiarity of the structure. Worth visiting to stop the series of large golden paya.

  • Certainly one of the temples the more interesting to Mandalay.Unique its kind one has the impression that this forest of stupas has no end. Atmosphere very relaxing and conducive to meditation which is not always the case in the Burmese temples. If there's a temple visit to Mandalay it is this one.
