Observe the daily and religious routines of Buddhist monks, and have a conversation with them at Mandalay religious sites. Famous pagodas and teaching monasteries, as well as several Anglican churches and a mosque, lie scattered all over the city that calls itself the center of Buddhism. See temples built of jade and white marble topped with gilded roofs, adorned with numerous Buddha statues. Admire the delicate, intricate stone and wood carvings representing mythical creatures and deities. Be prepared to take off your shoes and socks in order to enter some of the sacred places. Make Mandalay religious sites a centerpiece of your Mandalay vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Mandalay itinerary maker.
