  • From here you can enjoy a splendid view, if weather conditions permit. I have been there early in the morning and there was some haze, still worth the stop.

  • We have visited Mandalay Hill to see the sunset. You can use either by taxi as on foot up the Hill. We chose to move up and Down with the taxi to go down at the entrance are two large chinthes. Pretty to look at. Next, you need your slippers/shoes, which you can do in custody for an additional fee. Not ideal what the way up is pretty nasty. Not to mention a possible toilet visit above (sta toilets). While you go up runs to get some nice Buddhas against, including two very high standing Buddhas. These are beautiful to see. Furthermore, there are along the stairs many sellers of soft drinks and various stalls with souvenirs. You also comes a lot of (young) monks. But besides a stiff climb, there is not much to see. At the top, you need a tourist on 1,000 kyat p.p. pay an entrance fee. Also above there are few points of interest. In any case, nothing you (probably) haven't previously encountered in Myanmar. The sunset was not very nice. However, we found the view itself not very special. Since it was very busy with accordingly (masses) tourists, was with us a bit from the charm. We would only do that if you time the Mandalay Hill therefore about. There are various temples at the foot of the hill that significantly more interesting.
