  • This temple is a great place to watch the sunrise. You get 360 views of Bagan, and the hot air balloons fly right over you. The other temples are a little far away, but if it's the hot air balloons yo...  more »
  • The Pya Tha Da temple is a beautiful book that has also suffered the earthquake in 2016. The top is somewhat damaged but in the process of repair. A gigantic Buddha sits at the entrance. another sitting is beautifully showcased on the back of the temple. Fabulous. Plus you can get on the terraces and have a splendid view. Top. And few people late January.

  • We watched the sunrise here on our second morning in Bagan. There were about 20-30 other people here but it wasn't as manic and crowded as Shwesandaw - you'll get a nice spot to sit and watch the sunr...  more »

  • A bit quiet than other pagoda! Less people's selling things there! It'll be one of good place for scenic around it! But definitely not a good idea to visit in the middle of day, too hot to be there. Also is a bit far if using bike from where we lives, old Bagan, nguage u or new Bagan, while back and forth from there in mid day when hot die!
  • You can go up this one. Went back twice. Off the main path on sand roads. Be careful, as they are very energy intensive on the e bike battery
  • Wrongly named in Google's map, Correct name is Pyathetgyi Phaya
  • Check daily sunset time and be there a bit early for a better view.
  • Go up and enjoy great view. Explore beautiful pagodas/
