Nine centuries old, Gawdawpalin Temple represents a historic monument worth visiting, whether you're a history-lover or simply enjoy old architecture. The temple stands as the second tallest religious site in the region, boasting two floors and seven gloriously decorated terraces. Although it was damaged in an earthquake some 40 years ago, the renovation done since has restored the temple's authentic look and feel. Explore the temple and the pagoda, and see where believers go to pray, meditate, or practice traditional Buddhist rituals.
