Bagan Viewing Tower offers panoramic vistas of Bagan archeological site, with more than 2,000 medieval monuments to admire. Open to the public since 2005, the 60 m (197 ft) high tower--or “the high palace” in Burmese--boasts 13 floors with lobbies, offices, a souvenir shop, an expensive cafe, and viewing platforms on the top three levels. The scenic landscape features a vast plane crossed by dirt roads and divided by a blue river, shrouded in lush trees and dotted with numerous pagodas. A luxurious resort sits at the bottom of the tower. Make Bagan Viewing Tower a centerpiece of your Bagan vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Bagan holiday planner.
