Didn’t have to spend much time there but snapped some photos and enjoyed the beach while we were there. Beira is limited in terms of sites to visit so this one is great to make note of.

Interesting rusting wreck in front of an abandoned lighthouse but the main draw is the beach. Beach is safe and clean with a wide expanse of sand, locals leave you alone and there is easy parking...

Local hangout. The lighthouse itself is a landmark but mostly unremarkable as it overlooks Macuti beach and the rusted hulk of a shipwreck directly in front of it. The area can be crowded with drunks on holidays, so it helps to go with a group and/or local friends if you are female and/or obviously foreign. It's a great place to watch the sun come up on week day mornings. Lots of local restaurants nearby: Get your 2M or Manica to go, stagger to the beach, and watch the waves crash on a rusted shipwreck directly in front of the lighthouse.

Not all that much to see. But it was listed as a highlight so I went to check it out. If you're in a bind for time, don't feel bad for skipping it
