At National Archaeology Museum, learn about the historic discoveries made throughout the country over time. Since its opening in 1932, the museum has attracted history and culture lovers with its various exhibits of excavated artifacts, organized into three groups--prehistoric, pre-Islamic, and Islamic archaeology. On the ground floor, you'll see excavated prehistoric stone items, such as weapons and pottery, some of which bear ancient inscriptions. As you proceed, see pieces found in ancient Neolithic and Roman sites, such as the collection of statues of Roman deities.
