A shady retreat from the city, Andalusian Gardens features manicured landscapes occupying the grounds of a former palace. Built by the French during the colonial period, the gardens feature dates, oleanders, orange and lemon trees, bananas, and a range of seasonal flowers and shrubs. Pathways and carved stone and ornate tiled fountains offer a ambiance in which you can examine remnants of ancient sculptures and abandoned architecture. An absolute pleasure to be able to escape the hustle of Rabat into these quiet and wonderfully well kept gardens. A real battery re-charger before launching into the city again. more »
Nice place in the kasbah to chill, but I wouldn't go out of my way to spend time here as there are lots of other things to do in Rabat. I preferred to walk along river, or ocean front. more »
Very beautiful garden and of course full of cats! There were a couple women there selling Henna who don't take no for an answer! The cafe near the the rear of the garden is lovely. Good tea and pastries
After exploring the Kasbah and nearby mausoleum, the gardens were a surprise and welcome delight to escape the sun and enjoy the coolness of the shade. There’s a small gift shop and dozens of cats sprawled out in the sun. Take a break underneath the pergola that still has fruit trees and vines covering it
To be visited... Best place to chill a bit and enjoy the view on the sea.
Really nice place.
