A royal complex of buildings and gardens, Palacio da Bahia dates back to the 1860s. The sprawling ensemble of courtyards and rooms boast ornamental flourishes all around, with intricate woodwork, stained glass, and gold decorations throughout. The harem stands as the most lavishly appointed area, in which the many wives and concubines of the resident grand vizier were once housed. • Really highly recomended to visit this nice, clean and peaceful place in Marrakesh. You should go in the morning or evening to avoid the hottest moment of the day.

  • It is not massive and most rooms are empty but the architecture and garden is stunning. Worth a visit and a bit of time reading the info - or getting a guide. close to Badi Palace which is very...

  • Like to carefully watch the wall of all kinds of tiles, not afraid of the destruction of time, still dazzling. Even the roof on the top of the head also is worth seeing, how are these totem collages pasted after all, the craft technique of Morocco ancient time is magnificent as expected. Each room in the Palace was carefully designed and sized according to the popularity of the sultan's concubine, and each concubine's room had its own atrium. The Palace has a reception hall, living area, garden, fountain, guest room, stable, Koran School, etc. There are more than 150 rooms with sculptures and paintings, only a few of which are open to the public.
  • Quite expensive for what you’re seeing , not too exciting either. Mosaics and garden were pretty but as there is no furniture to see or material to read , it got a little monotonous. We can appreciate the beauty of the palace , but a supplemented tour guide would have made the trip much more worth it- we eavesdropped on a few tour guides people had hired who knew their history , but we couldn’t hang around them for too long …👂🏼
  • Historic landmark with lots of architecture and intrinsic details. Signs in multiple languages (Arabic, French and English) that explain the significance of certain areas. Lots of great photo opportunities. Really enjoyed it!
  • Nice touristy thing to do while you're Marrakech. It's 70 Durham and small but nice. The marble floors and cedar doors and ceilings are gorgeous. I enjoyed my visit
  • If you are into mosaic and wall deco this is the place you should visit. But honestly, not really much to explore or read here. If you want to learn stuff, I recommend you to open google or hire a local guide The place can be seen in less than an hour, or you can spend several hours here (if you open google or have the guide. Or just want to avoid the noisy streets) Entrance for tourist is double the price for locals, so 70MAD. I find it rather fair
