Stand in reverence of the artistry and scale of Koutoubia Mosque, constructed during the 12th century CE. The mosque includes a large courtyard and gardens, while the main sandstone and brick represents the traditional Almohad style, with minimal decorations taking the form of geometrical holes and inscriptions. The towering minaret stands 77 m (253 ft) tall, with a spire of gilded copper balls. You can plan Marrakech trip in no time by asking Inspirock to help create your itinerary.

Non Muslims are not allowed inside but there is plenty to see from the outside and the Minaret is worth seeing. Our guide told us that this was one of the first mosques in Morocco.

Incredible building which can be seeing across the Marrakesh skyline from almost anywhere in the city. A wonderful example of 11th century architecture and Islamic worship.

One of my favorite spots in Marrakech... Make sure to take pictures right before sunset you will be amazed with the heavenly lights.
