Jardin Jnan Sbil, Fes

4.4
#3 of 329 in Things to do in Fes
Take a break from the noise and activity of the city with a visit to Jardin Jnan Sbil, a well-maintained collection of gardens. Adding some much-needed greenery to the medina area, the gardens were commissioned in the 18th century by Sultan Moulay Abdellah. The medieval walls of the medina mark the boundaries of the garden, enclosing a quiet area filled with plants, fountains, walkways, and orchards. Sit in the shade of the trees and recharge, then head back out to explore the historic district. Arrange to visit Jardin Jnan Sbil and other attractions in Fes using our Fes road trip planner .

  • Nice size garden within minutes of the medina. Free access, walking paths; good to stretch legs and walk unhindered.  more »
  • A very beautiful garden with flowers even in winter. Thirty minutes of quiet just at the edge of the souks

  • Loved spending some time in this garden. What lovely spot in the winding maze of Fes! We got to see this spot as part of a walking tour of Fes (totally worth it!) .  more »

  • Very nice garden, where you can leave the busy streets of Fez behind you and just relax a bit. There are many possibilities to sit down and just watch the birds and listen to their sound. There are some fountains and a small river with small romantic bridges and a watermill. You find also a toilet in the park which is useable, there is somebody who is taking care of the facilities.
  • Very Beautiful, clean, and quite garden near the entrance of the old Medina of Fez, it's a recommended garden for visitors of the old Medina of Fez, especially after a long visit of the ruins and narrow streets. Whoow is the First word pronounced from my friends when they saw it. Fascinating, by the way it's known in the map by the UNESCO garden too.
  • A must visit in Fez. Better than the Generalife gardens in Granada
  • its a relax place and beatiful landscapes. Here you can take good pictures
  • Beautiful gardens with water features just outside the medina
