Browse through exquisite antiques and feel ancient carpets under your feet at Coin Berbere, a small cluster of stores specializing in Berber rugs and antiques from all over Morocco. Owned by two brothers, these old traditional shops are packed with wooden chests, embroidery, 17th-century wooden doors, and 18th-century carved portals. Famous cobalt-blue Fez pottery pieces, earthenware, brass pieces, and jewelry are displayed in this cabinet of authentic curiosities with ancient silk caftans and scents of bygone eras. If you are serious buyer, you will be served tea. Discover how to plan a Fes trip in just a few steps with Inspirock's itinerary builder.

  • We had an amazing morning with Abdoul, looking at all different rugs and hearing their history. Full experience, negotiating the price was also super funny. We ended up leaving the shop with 2 rugs...  more »
  • This place is definitely unique! I was looking for a special type of Moroccan DJELLABA for men made of pure wool, I was only able to find it here and another shop in Fes. The DJELLABA in this place....  more »
  • My brother and I had a great experience at Coin Berbere. This is family owned and operated. There are a wide variety of textiles here and all are of good quality. The whole experience was quite fun.  more »

  • I recently bought a small rug from here. The owner was very kind, and i felt relaxed while looking at the different rugs. This was not the typical story i heard, which sounded kind of stressful. There really wasn't any pressure to buy a rug, which was nice. Overall I'd say definitely visit and if you see something you like don't be afraid to negotiate.
  • Very helpful shop keeper who spent a good hour showing us all of his rug stock. He went to the effort of setting up over a dozen different rugs and helped us decide which one we wanted with no pressure to buy. He was very reasonable with price and thanks to him we have a fantastic memory of Morocco in our living room. He arranged the shipping all the way to Sydney - Australia, the rug arrived in perfect condition just as promised a couple of weeks later. I would highly recommend this shop if you are looking for an authentic Moroccan rug.
  • Visited Abdoul at Coin barbere yesterday in Fez. What an incredible experience. Beautiful passionationately - respectfully - presented by a gracious kind man! Abdoul was fair, generous, and beyond entertaining!!! My only regret is that I could t purchase another ... can’t wait to see it when it arrives in California! Thanks Abdoul!!!!
  • One of the best places in Fes for textiles and antiques. Great selection of original Moroccan embroidery. Very good old hendiras.
  • The best place to buy rugs in Morocco! Abdul was very helpful and has an amazing, authentic collection!
