One of the largest mosques in the world, Hassan II Mosque is an impressive place of worship and a symbolic landmark of the city. Nearly 1,000 construction workers and 10,000 artists took nearly seven years to complete this structure, known for its highly decorated interior (viewable only as part of a guided tour), rich in Islamic artistic motifs, including geometric shapes and sections from the Quran. The 210 m (689 ft) tall minaret stands above the old town, while the main building looks out across the Atlantic Ocean. • The mosque is very beautiful from the outside and inside, but unfortunately in order to be able to see the inside, you must come a quarter of an hour before the time of prayer. Men’s section is much better than the women’s section in terms of design, decorations and size like all other mosques in the Arab World. As men must go to pray in mosques, whereas, women not.
  • Incredible experience. Worth the price. Most impressive mosque i have seen. The English tour guide was very professional and experienced. Answered all questions the group had. A must see place when visiting Morocco.
  • I loved it! It's bigger and bigger in person. The mosque buildings are not only beautiful but carry a sense of peace. The cool sea breeze is perfect. On your trip to Morocco, I definitely recommend visiting the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. Be aware of prayer times as access will be restricted. Non-Muslims can also visit. Whether early in the morning or near sunset makes for a great time. If you enter after 5pm, there is no entrance fee for the premises. You may need to purchase a tour during daylight hours to get to the interior. It's no problem taking photos and videos with your phone but with the right camera - it will depend on who's patrolling the area. Some days, they don't care if you're shooting with a DSLR. Some days, they will object (especially during peak hours). I would avoid bringing tripods which can draw unnecessary attention. Please be respectful and dress appropriately (nothing is too revealing).
  • I am so thankful for the staff for helping me with my visit. I wear braces on my legs that go into my shoes. Usually when I visit a mosque or temple and explain this, they still make me take off my shoes or chastise me for not having someone with me to push a wheelchair. Not here. They gave me a ride via golf cart and assisted me in covering my shoes inside the mosque. I could not have seen the inside without this help. For others- I think it’s possible to see the prayer hall step-free but I did not see or was offered a lift to the ablution rooms, but please try to see as much as you can! I have been to many places in this world, many churches and mosques and this one blew my mind! And the guide was great, I loved the close up look at the crafts inside the museum. Worth a trip just to see this in Casablanca
  • IT'S MAGNIFICENT! Favorite visit in Casablanca by far. For only 130 MAD (13$) you get a one hour guided tour inside the mosque in French, English, Italian. I learned so much interesting facts! Make sure to visit at 9, 10, 11 am or 12 pm. You can't just enter whenever.
