  • Shkodra (Skadar) with magnificent views of the Lake the best representatives of the natural beauty of the Balkans. Although a lot of activities to do here the most beautiful and the most enjoyable thing to do a boat trip. 30 min, 1 hour and 2 hours to reach land in the Lake with a selection of regions even.

  • This National Park will be a good choice for those who love history and ecological tours. The beauty of the lake will touch even those who rarely go for open air trips. Tranquility and piece -- all yo...  more »
  • ... did not allow us to enjoy the beauty of the place. It is a place that deserves a visit, be done strictly by boat.

  • Hi All! My husband and I visited Scadar Lake which is really amazing and wonderful place to see but unfortunately we faced a bunch of dishonest crooks who pretend to be a licensed tour provider but who are obviously not. Those people significantly spoilt out overall experience of Scadar Lake visiting that is why I am writing my review here. It would take me long to write here all story but please: -When booking a private boat check different providers and compare them -Try to figure out whether a provider licensed or not -Don't let be lured by people who try to help with parking in Virpazar and then who try hash to sell you their tours- most likely they are bad. Please avoid a young local guy (unfortunately I didn't have a chance to get his name) speaking pretty good English and offering a tour with an elderly guy who doesn't speak English and his chunky 14-15 years old daughter who pretends to know things about history of the region and about Skadar Lake. She doesn't know much at all. Their boat is much worse than others and has very weak engine so you would go at least twice slower than other boats but you would be pay the same fare- 25 euros per hour. So it would mean you would actually pay twice more expensive. We were so dissatisfied with a tour that we complained and asked for discount at the end. Guess what - after mooring back in Virpazar that young guy who we booked initially the tour with was already waiting for us on the shore with his friend. They started shouting at me and my husband: " we do not care whether you are satisfied with the tour or not! You pay money! Now!" It turned out there was nobody else at the moment around and there was nobody to ask for help, for police. I couldn't image it could happen in a modern world to be racketed like this in the heart of touristic place. We paid the full amount they requested and rushed to our car. We wanted to go to police but than we didn't have no prove, no records so not sure police would help us.
  • Beautiful lake even in cloudy weather
  • Beautiful bay with warm water and amazing views. I'd definitely return.
  • This lake is wonderful place. The Montenegro side is a National Park, the Albanian side is not, but from that side I liked the lake even more. There were duck farms in greenery, low lawns, fresh and lively scenery. I would recommend you to go to Albania, the nature is a garden of Eden in here.
  • Everything was ok. Superb nature, small beach to have some fun...but boats are very expensive.
