Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, Podgorica

The amazing interior of this church is breathtaking. The main chandelier is beautiful and reminds me of many churches in Istanbul. Iconography is dominant and well preserved. I wonder if it really helps pilgrims to meet with resurrect Jesus when they come to worship, or is it an obstacle to true worship, forcing their thoughts and prayers towards patron saints instead to the living Son of God .

Outstanding church and typically having an abundance of frescoes. This one though contains the controversial Marx, Engels and Tito burning in hell fresco. It has to be seen. I'm told that some people here are all for this depiction while others are very much against it. You decide for yourself.

In my opinion, this is the most beautiful and underrated church in Montengro. In no guide this church is recommended or mentioned, the only reason we went for the church is because we had a spare and limited time, so we searched for something quick. Anyone who goes through Podgorica should take a quick visit and than go forewards to whatever destination you desire (all guides do not recommend to stop in the city other than shopping). This site is not popular probably because it is quite new, so what? It is is stikl beautiful.
