4.5/5 based on 120 reviews on the web
Take a bit of a respite with coffee or ice cream at one of the many cafes on . If you enter through the Sea Gate on the west side of town, you'll pass a couple of cannons named after the nearby Venetian arsenal. The square also features a hotel that once served as a theater, the town hall, the Rector's Palace, and a 17th-century clock tower. Notice how the clock tower leans slightly, due to an earthquake. Pay attention to a small pyramid at its base, called the pyramid of shame--in the Middle Ages, this was the site of punishments and torture. • Through the Sea Gate you come to this plaza and the many alleys that lead off it. There is always a lot of activity in the plaza, especially when cruise ships are in and the weather is fine.
  • The usual size of an old European city. Get on it as soon as you enter through the main gate in the old city of Kotor. Always filled with tourists, many cafes, here is the Prince's Palace, the clock tower and the pillory. Perhaps interesting only the origin of the name of the square-the square of weapons. It arrives at the warehouse were Venetians military ammunition and weapons.

  • The Piazza or the Arms square in the historical centre of Kotor is a nice square, where a lot of tourist groups to get together droves to text and explanation of their guide. It is a beautiful square with beautiful buildings around it but there is not a whole lot to do.
