  • I didn't visit much of the park itself, but travelled through it on our way from Kotor to the Njegos mausoleum. The views over Bay of Kotor from the camp are fantastic, as are the views from the mauso...  more »
  • No matter how dear you go in Lovćen (from Tivat or Kotor, or from Budva), stunningly beautiful views and excellent mood you provided. Of course, the most fascinating will be independent travel by car: you do not depend on hurrying tourist group accommodation, can stay anywhere and enjoy the breathtaking views, make great shots, forest paths, visit memorable and interesting places, eat and buy local products and relax in the cosy konobah. If you are confident (but not arrogant!) feel behind the wheel, don't be scared of the road-it is maintained in good condition, and rumors of "Dizzy" streamers have been greatly exaggerated.

  • Really enjoyed the journey by car. A lot of beautiful places for a photo. A lot of tourists, so keep track of it in the morning and go straight to the Lovsen strain.

  • Pros: Great view. Fun geocache. Find the rock piles and leave one of your own. Cons: Tough road to drive. Very little parking. Lots of stairs. No tour.
  • Incredible views and a nice hike. Look up the history before going or stop in the gift shop to view a book. Get there early, during peak season all the cars can make it very difficult.
  • Spectacular view from the entrance. Very cold and windy in late autumn (October) and temperature was around 4°c, much to the dismay of the uninformed an unprepared who went up in casual clothing meant for a temperature of around 17°c at the lowland coastal region. There were 461 steps up to the mausoleum of Montenegro’s greatest hero, Petar Petrović Njegoš (built 1970 to 1974 at the top of Montenegro's second-highest peak, Jezerski Vrh [1657m]) where you can take beautiful photos on a clear day. The drive along the national park is scenic, passing by remote villages and isolated restaurants with home made cheese, ham and sandwiches served with a cup of hot coffee at very reasonable prices.
  • 26 turns to the top of Lovcen! Good restaurant underneath the tourist shop. Views too. A lot of walking up steps!!!
  • Its really a beautiful and peaceful place. One of the symbol parts excellence of Montenegro. I would suggest to visit the information center first. They are really kind and can suggest you the best itinerary based on your goal.
