Inspirock Rating:
4/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web
The city's medieval castle, Citadel stands at the highest point in the area and is one of the most structurally significant medieval monuments in Montenegro. Unlike most fortifications, this citadel stands entirely on its own. Within its walls also lie the ruins of Saint Mary's church and the fort's bastions. Climb up to get superb views of Budva's beaches, houses, and hills, and have a drink or a local dish at the restaurant on the terrace. Check out the gallery at the site, which showcases books and maps of the Balkan Peninsula. Using our world travel planner, Budva attractions like Citadel can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.
