Old Olive Tree, Bar

(3.4/5 based on 90+ reviews on the web)
Old Olive Tree is a notable natural feature and a symbol of the city of Bar. Legend has it that in the old days, feuding families would come under the olive tree to make peace. This is how it earned its name--Mirovica, the root of the name meaning peace. The tree is reportedly more than 2,000 years old, and it is one of the oldest olive trees in the world. It has been under state protection since 1957. Make Old Olive Tree part of your personalized Bar itinerary using our Bar vacation trip planner.

  • Interesting fact himself. The more than 2000 years, Olivet to attend open, micro-ticket money. Allowed to touch. Oliva is unique, it burned, but people helped her recover and she even bears fruit. spend 5 minutes driving to the old town and look at it personally

  • is an olive tree of more than 2000 years, which is very interesting to go see it, previously was on the way and is could see, touch, shoot photos, but after that was accidentally burned, recovered incredibly and now this beautiful although not recovered anywhere, is now with a wall around for better care and you have to pay the entrance fee just to be near the us from outside us throw away photos and they were very good, it's so big it seems you're on their side.

  • Old olive (age 2000let): from the old Bar go back before turning under the pointer at the Bar and at the fork see left parked in a basketball basket and to the right of the entrance to the old Oliwa (coordinates: N42° 04.830 ' E19° 07.745 ') we didn't pay 1 € and watched and photographed over the fence.

  • Very interesting place, even we saw it just across the fence, as the area closes in the evening.
  • Just imagine this place 2000 years ago. It s open for the season now. Tariffs remaind unchanged for close up view. Follow the signs for "Stari Masslina" which help to find the way from coastal road Bar - Dobra Voda.
  • Imponujace oliwki, a w okolicy dziki zolwie. Warto zobaczyc
  • An olive tree claimed to be 2000 years old. The place is fenced. Entrance cost 1€ for adults and 50 eurocents for children. Nice sightsee but distant and hard to find.
  • 2240 years old officially
