4.2/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web
Examine a vast collection of Mongolian cultural, archaeological, and scientific artifacts at National History Museum. Since its establishment in 1924, many Russian and American scholars have contributed to expanding and merging the ethnographical, historical, and archaeological departments of Mongolia, systematically preserving the nation's cultural heritage. As you roam the corridors, you can observe many interesting exhibits, such as dinosaur skeletons from the Gobi desert, volcano stones and meteorites, botany and animal life samples, and traditional garments. Each showcase has labels in Mongolian and English; you can also purchase a guidebook to learn about the museum's content more thoroughly. Put National History Museum into our Ulaanbaatar tourist route planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.
