  • The Flaming Cliffs also known as Bayanzag area region of the Godi Dessert and certainly live up to their name. The colour changes according to the light from an orange red to a deep, glowing red in th...  more »

  • Perhaps one of the main attractions the Gobi desert this is what made me mad: the rock is all red and has gradients as Tsagaan Suvraga I had seen a few days earlier. Our Agency took in the early afternoon so the much-vaunted beauty of the rocks that glow in the sunset I couldn't admire it, surely this has contributed to my opinion. However in the Gobi tour is a must that you cannot miss.

  • There is just the cliff where dinosaur eggs were first found in 1920s followed by a few excavation expeditions to uncover more dinosaur fossils. Stayed here for the night in this vast desert with an exactly feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Dramatic cloud make the place look really out of this world. Amazing spot for sunset photography. But wind was extremely strong, so got to hold down that tripod with weights.
  • It’s amazing to see one steppe drop away so significantly as you look out across another plane that just goes on forever. The flaming cliffs are stunning and as you explore, you also hope that you manage to spot the next big fossil discovery. It was bloody windy when were there but we still managed to find shelter to enjoy a wine or several
  • Red Rocks. Blue skies. Vast lands. Numerous fossils of dinosaur species that once roamed the plains for millions of years. That's what the Flaming Cliffs have to offer. It's perfect.
  • Definitely worth a visit as part of the Gobi visit. Good at sunset time. Ultra blue sky combined with flaming red rock combines for beautiful moments.
  • Sunset at this cliff was amazing
