Japanese Gardens, Monte-Carlo

(1,000+ reviews on the web)
Garden Nature / Park
A calm oasis for the weary traveler, Japanese Gardens offers a space for quiet contemplation surrounded by carefully crafted beauty. Meticulous arrangements of vegetation, stone, and water create a sense of peace in this garden, which was created for Princess Grace. Highlights of the garden include the waterfall, which flows into the carp-filled lake, and the teahouse, an ornamental structure where you can sit quietly. Walk the paths through trees and rocks, wander over the arched, red bridge to a small island, and watch the fish and ducks that swim below you. • Lovely tranquil garden in the heart of Monaco. I've been to Japan and it's a tiny faithful slice of the real thing. Well worth a stroll through.
  • Really enjoyed taking a break from the buildings to walk in this free, serene setting. Good place to relax after loosing all your money in the casino!
  • Really pretty gardens. Free entry, so there's really no reason not to stop by for a few minutes and check it out. The place is very well landscaped, and you can tell the gardeners take great pride in the place. I was in Monaco during an anime convention so there were a lot of cosplayers there too. Great time!
  • Beautiful garden, perfectly maintained. Very small though, don't expect to walk around for hours
  • Very small, but really cool garden. Worth taking a look since it's free and quite central.
