Japanese Gardens, Monte-Carlo

4.5
#1 of 7 in Parks in Monaco
A calm oasis for the weary traveler, Japanese Gardens offers a space for quiet contemplation surrounded by carefully crafted beauty. Meticulous arrangements of vegetation, stone, and water create a sense of peace in this garden, which was created for Princess Grace. Highlights of the garden include the waterfall, which flows into the carp-filled lake, and the teahouse, an ornamental structure where you can sit quietly. Walk the paths through trees and rocks, wander over the arched, red bridge to a small island, and watch the fish and ducks that swim below you. • In the middle of the frenzy di.una city in full development between roads cars rumbling between the sea and a.. Radius of total peace and surprise ... a Japanese garden that embraces the philosophy zhen ... Well looked after with all canons of the situation proposed. You breathe the spiritual message for those who do not practice. A magical and amazing tourist spot ... useful to embrace peace

  • Peaceful little garden with that Japanese vibe to it. Fishes swimming in the pond and nice plants, bridges and benches to sit on. We loved it.  more »
  • Nature a go go ... Once you enter in Japanese Gardens of Monte Carlo seems wrapped in a spirit of peace and tranquility ... aside from the delight to see these trees, plants, streams, carp ponds. seems like entering an oasis outside the city. congratulations to Monegasques--were really good

  • Probably the most beautiful place in Monaco any time of the year! Relax by the little tea house with a book, or watch the koi fish in the lake or catch some sun rays by the waterfall - peaceful, quiet and very beautiful!
  • Such a lovely & tranquil space in the middle of Monte Carlo's Renaissance & modern mix of architecture. No entry fee, you can just walk in and enjoy the green landscape whenever you want. There are plenty of seats but no public toilet here. Parking can be found nearby. This place is next to the seaside, so you can visit the beach if you stroll along the pathway behind the garden.
  • Very quaint little Japanese Garden in an area close to the shore. Free to the public and a peaceful place to view some koi, rocks, bridges and streams. You can see it all in 15 minutes but you should take some time, wander and enjoy it.
  • A leisurely stroll down Avenue Princesse Grace will take you to this Instragram-worthy haven of tranquility. A pleasant change from the tourist jungle around Place du Casino. Particularly worth a visit if you are into manicured gardens; it is also less busy than the Jardin Exotique. Villa Sauber and the Grimaldi Forum are a few steps away from this location.
  • A small garden but neatly maintained. Liked d detailing in small things.
