Exotic Garden (Jardin Exotique), La Condamine

(4.5/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Tour the terraced Exotic Garden (Jardin Exotique) atop the town's steep hill on a clear day to see a large collection of succulents and cacti. With extensive views over Monaco that can be seen from many vantage points, the garden offers more than botanical attractions. Broken up into smaller gardens, each terrace contains plantings that group similar plants together. Key attractions include the giant flowering succulents--spectacular even when not in flower--a shady area with a pond and waterfall, and the underground "cathedral"--a large, underground cave filled with stalactites and stalagmites. When you visit the garden, wear comfortable shoes, as there are many steep steps. A visit to Exotic Garden (Jardin Exotique) represents just the start of the adventure when you use our La Condamine holiday planner to plot your vacation.

  • A Mediterranean garden with plenty of flowers nicely arranged. Have ample benches to sit down and playing areas for kids. Worth a visit after visit to the harbour and the casino.  more »
  • You own a piece of paradise, with many species of plants! And then the gem of the garden are the caves, stunning! Descend into the bowels of the Earth and you are surrounded by a terrific site featuring stalactite and stalagmites lit fine, who meet and form tangles of shimmering limestone. Very impressive. And then you go out and t dip still vegetation of all kinds. Lovely day!

  • Fan of succulents and other cacti, this place is for you. Easy to access even walk (thanks to the city for its many elevators) the entrance cost 7.20 euros and includes the exotic garden, the anthropological museum and a visit to a cave (300 steps of descent) so 300 ;) uphill. Come to the opening, there ' was a lot less crowded. The layout is very well done and there are many tips if you also have a cactus at home. Do with children without worries...
