  • The fortress was built by the famous Turkish architect Sinan modeled on Western European fortresses kyminlinna type. the fortress is written a lot, so I'll try something special to remember:). From the second half of the 19th century the fortress was Podilsky 55 infantry regiment. Every year in late August in the fortress hold celebrations devoted to the 55th shelve the Podillya (performances). by the way, at one of the events at the Citadel fortress stood even song and dance ensemble of the Soviet army named after a. v. Alexandrova. the bulk of attractions concentrated directly in the Citadel, but interesting enough to get through the main gate of the fortress, located on the side of the viaduct over the railway road. The landmark monument to the first world war, from which the bridge over the moat of the fortress leads alley this route past 5 years not used, but in vain. entering through the massive main gate to get into the inner courtyard, then the square of Munchausen (formerly it stood a monument to Baron on the kernel, but it for "convenience" was moved closer to the Citadel), and from the square you can go to the Citadel (400 meters).

  • The fortress is good when you look at her from afar and inside when you can stroll as for its perimeter and in the courtyard, where a small museum is an interesting history of the fortress. It is particularly interesting to young people. It is best to get on the tour, when the fortress hosts various theatrical merporijatija

  • The legacy of the Ottoman Empire, a little preserved to our days. It is sad that the fortress took ennoble it left not spirit of the time, no feeling of the fortress with a really great history. Are neatly laid out walls and kotel'com built observation towers, prevented from fully imbued with centuries-old era. History of the fortress itself very impressed, its importance in the history of Russia, Moldavia, Turkey. The fortress was revered and great commanders and even the Russian emperors. It is important to preserve the fortress as a monument, without modern extensions.

  • 歷史感厚重的城堡。
  • Najprawdę very interesting. In przesżłości he defended Charles XII here after losing the battle of Poltava in 1709r. Today the fortress is well renovated, very contrasts with messy surroundings. Being there in April 2016 still lasting restoration. Admission as pisano 25 rubles for the citizens of the DNR, and 50 rubles for all outside the separatist Republic. The woman at the counter very polite, helpful and contact. The castle is very well described, unfortunately only in Russian. If you know Russian, you can know the whole story of Bender, the Castle and subsequent events. The walls of the Castle set a commemorative paper made of granite, referring to the social contract Pylypa Orlyka, mistakenly considered the first Constitution in Europe. From the other side of the walls is set to busts of Soviet commanders, who were in Bender. Inside the Castle you can go on the walls and towers, which have not yet all over the place are protected. It is interesting for this museum. Despite its small size, you can stay there for quite a while and admire the arrangements of Turkish and Russian camp. In addition to the entire design is a small souvenir shop, where you can also purchase any drinks or sweets. In General, the entire fortress looks better than I expected.

  • Very nicely. Upsetting paid entry. For local 25 rubles (TMR) for 50 rubles. But you can always find an alternative. If you go down to the bridge over Dniester, is behind another entrance. We climbed free. Very glad to visit there.

  • I really liked it. In Moldova only two towers, so interesting to learn about their history. Recommend!

  • Interesting object, a bit distorted quality restoration work and seemed to lack a unified reconstruction plan. Great idea-creating a viewing platform on the portal Tower from the site offers beautiful views of Bender and Tiraspol.
