  • Definitely a place that their ancient healers Customs has made a very profitable business. I'm not against that their living from tourism, but unlike San Juan Chamula here is an abuse. You can not take pictures of any side and one may think that it is out of respect for the traditions, but it is not, do not let you because it is a business, if you want pictures, you must pay. It upset me that dress costumes children and send them to chase tourists to earn a few pesos in Exchange for a photo. All tours and taxi drivers take you to the same House to which you know the backstrap loom, which is also a fiasco since when you get it runs off a lady and gets to weave so that take you photos, finished the photo shoot rises jajajja. But good despite the performance is a beauty all very colourful fabrics and that is what makes it worth the visit. These items are expensive but if you analyze the work involved to make one you will notice that well worth the cost.

  • To enter this village of flower growers that pay, there is used the system of usos y costumbres, there are no police, our goal was to see the backstrap loom, we reach a cooperative House with various textiles where offered us fresh handmade tortillas with beans and cheese very tasty indeed and a brandy of cinnamon and jamaica , but we saw as Woven garments, textiles are more expensive that in the center of San Cristóbal de las Casas... later I checked it. I recommend that if you visit the site, you do it with an agency and a certified guide.

  • Small town with nothing to see. People is rude and all they want is to sell you things and charge you even for breathing. There are way better things to see in Chiapas than this town.  more »
