Tourist Spot
Just 10 minutes from the scenic city center, Mina El Eden, serves as one of the most important sites of the colonial history of the mining town. The mine operated from the late 16th century until 1960; then it was reopened as an attraction in 1975. Step back in time as a train takes you to the center of the underground mining site, where you can see where the gold and silver ore was extracted. You'll see an array of minerals in the museum. A nightclub now operates in the former grinding vault of the mine, which you can access by riding the small train 610 m (2,000 ft) underground. • I think that it is usually very well mine and details have been polishing over the years putting. I visited the Museum of the mine itself and are very interesting things that there are. In general it seems to me a good run. A little expensive for travel time.

  • Excellent place. My favorite in Zacatecas. The guides Know their stuff.
  • Be sure to ask when the English speaking tour starts. The stories are very interesting and the guide is very funny and knowledgable. I didn't get a chance to visit the mine at night when it turns into a bar, but I bet that it would be an unforgettable experience. I never found that silver nugget.
  • Great museum and bar!
  • Great underground tour
