4.6/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web
See the city from 2,673 m (8,770 ft) above sea level on a trip up Cerro de la Bufa, a hill just east of the main urban area. The impressive, rugged spot offers uninterrupted views of the colonial city, along with a number of other attractions. Head to the museum at the top to learn about the Mexican Revolutionary War, and the battle that took place on this site in 1914. A chapel, begun in 1548 and completed two centuries later, represents another landmark atop the crest of the bluff, along with a mausoleum of the city's most esteemed citizens, an observatory, and a popular cable railway, connecting the hill to the city. Cerro de la Bufa is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Zacatecas Edition.

  • Really nice view of the city, how ever, could use some maintenance. The church is pretty too. Seems to be a place very popular with tourists.
