Cathedral, Zacatecas

Religious Site
Admire the blend of indigenous and European elements at Cathedral, a World Heritage Site and Zacatecas landmark. The elaborate 18th-century Roman Catholic church dominates the historical city center and represents the seat of the Zacatecas bishop. Observe the elaborate Churrigueresque Baroque style of the pink stone facade, intricately decorated in a lace-like stucco manner. Inside, a somber interior contrasts the ornate facade; don't miss the 24-carat gold leaf altarpiece. • Fortunately, it is inevitable to walk down the center of the city and meets with the Cathedral, on the main street of the historic center and next to the Plaza de Armas. In addition to the already Baroque façade itself involves taking several minutes to admire, in its interior you can admire altarpieces in wood were restored in recent years. One of the great experiences for those who admire the Mexican religious architecture that marks to several cities in the country.

  • well if you go to zacatecas have to happen out there because it's the main Avenue, the Baroque art is in its magnificent facade carved out by the indigenous people of the region, is an exceptional work, and inside is like any Cathedral with its faith in the sitting in the pews asking favors of God, and the square next to it where mostly on vacation are just the best events in the city. Note check out this visit. I please you.
