Cerro de la Bufa, Zacatecas

4.6
See the city from 2,673 m (8,770 ft) above sea level on a trip up Cerro de la Bufa, a hill just east of the main urban area. The impressive, rugged spot offers uninterrupted views of the colonial city, along with a number of other attractions. Head to the museum at the top to learn about the Mexican Revolutionary War, and the battle that took place on this site in 1914. A chapel, begun in 1548 and completed two centuries later, represents another landmark atop the crest of the bluff, along with a mausoleum of the city's most esteemed citizens, an observatory, and a popular cable railway, connecting the hill to the city. • I love it, the views of the city are amazing from above. The museum very well and the best are the coffers and handicrafts that sell. The best place to spend a day with family.

  • Place with a lot of history, which welcomes visitors with its 3 imposing sculptures of the characters who participated in the takeover of Zacatecas. It has several accesses to the Hill by which one can climb to the top of it and appreciate a unique view. It also has small telescopes of currency that will allow you to appreciate a part of the city of Zacatecas. You can visit the Hill from early, there you can eat chubby or typical dishes of the city and until very late you can come across some tour of the tours of the alleys. Unique and magical place... don't stop visiting him.

  • Excellent place with unique panoramic views in Mexico, it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and warm clothes if the tour is near sunset, there is a taxi base on the hill of the buffalo ending the tour charging $60 pesos to the city center.

  • Very lovely view of Zacatecas Mexico you can take the cable car which cost 160 pesos per person round-trip or you can take an Uber which is probably more like 60 pesos for a car load. Your choice I don't really like heights so in retrospect I should have just taken the Uber
  • Great hill, it's not too much time to get to the top and it's really awesome. You can see all the city of Zacatecas in there, it's a great experience.
  • Amazing views. Great history. Definitely make the trip up the hill and the short hike up la bufadora in order to take in all the breathtaking view and to step in the shoes of the Mexican resistors of the past. From the top, you can see the entirety of the Zacatecas capital.
  • Amazing views, lots of small souvenir shops, food carts, zip lining, historic place, city views
  • Great view and company
