  • If you're in the area (Uxmal), it's worth the detour. useful information prices $50, clean toilets, cold drinks $15 (coke,...). Duration: 1 hour. No guide on site. 6 minutes from Xlapak on a road paved to 50 KM/H of less good quality, several potholes (we know that in Montreal) we visited outside of 4 buildings, including 2 more wholesale. The trails are very easy to access, on the flat and well maintained. A door is worth a visit and gives beautiful pictures. A few signs give explanations in English and Spanish, Maya. In the small plain, in the Sun, was going strong. There are a dozen or so visitors at the time when we were there, about 30 a day. My wife and I visited Xlapak, Sayil, Labna and the Loltun Grutas in one day. Don't go to Cancun to visit, but Merida and Uxmal, it's a go. $= Pesos

  • According to the motto, do you know a Mayan site, you seen them all. This archaeological site is less well known, and the environment is rather untouched. There is however to visit one of the last surviving Mayan road. I highly recommend a stop only if you really have time and "another" site would like to look at.
