Cenote Azul, Yucatan Peninsula
(4.6/5 based on 750 reviews on the web)
Swim and relax at Cenote Azul, a natural, below-ground lagoon with two smaller, shallower pools close by. Cool off in the refreshing, clear water, snorkeling and observing the tropical fish that call this remote oasis home. A small cliff provides a popular place to jump off from and dive into the evocatively colored pool. The two other pools provide shallower waters for less confident swimmers. Primarily frequented by locals, the cenote has not been overdeveloped, but you'll find certain basic amenities onsite, such as bathrooms and snack stands. • Less impressive than the cenotes in caves but ul is not less beautiful. Several small pointq of water with clear water! We realize distinctly the black cats and small white fish come we rip off the dead foot skin. Besides it is cheaper than other more known sites.

  • This was our favorite cenote. It was incredible with a lot of small fish. Various spots in the cenote. Very refreshing water. Beautiful lush surroundings. Great for small children and adults.
