Cenote Azul, Yucatan Peninsula

4.5
Swim and relax at Cenote Azul, a natural, below-ground lagoon with two smaller, shallower pools close by. Cool off in the refreshing, clear water, snorkeling and observing the tropical fish that call this remote oasis home. A small cliff provides a popular place to jump off from and dive into the evocatively colored pool. The two other pools provide shallower waters for less confident swimmers. Primarily frequented by locals, the cenote has not been overdeveloped, but you'll find certain basic amenities onsite, such as bathrooms and snack stands. • A magical place to enjoy nature, enjoy the marine fauna and cooling of the hot climate of the Yucatan. Importantly, take organic repellent of mosquitoes, the ideal is that of citronella.

  • Really beautiful cenote but a slight tourist attraction so it was quite busy. Loved the little fishies nibbling on your skin!
  • By far one of the best cenote seen. Charge is only 6 dollars, which is super cheap compare to the others.
  • With the heat of playa del Carmen and the cold waters of this cenote is ideal to spend a day with the family... The entrance is cheap, and you can take things to eat... It is ideal because there they do not sell things
