  • Today went to Celestún aiming to take a boat to see the flamingos and we had a very bad experience. The guy who was driving the boat did a speed by others out of the ordinary, so our body against the boat pounding was strong and on more than two occasions we were about to turn around us. From that we got on the boat or even told us that we put us lifejackets (were fanned in a bag until later), the young man also told us how to accommodate us and we grabbed all post to move from one side to another in the boat. Return was worse than the first leg, to the extent that my eldest daughter (super rugged strong rides and speed) was crying with fright and for my little daughter was all torment "ride" (now I am afraid that it will keep the bad experience and will not want to upload back to a boat. I can't imagine pregnant women or elderly people in a ride like this, not even worry about preventing people with special conditions of risk. It was us rather than clear that less concern them is the integrity/security of the people, the only thing that interests them is to make as many trips per day even when that involves exposing people's wild form. Also think of the foreign tourism what goes through these experiences, how they intend to attract more tourism with this type of treatment. As a conclusion, we spend $1000 on a perilous journey in which we were scared, hurt and saw only 5 minutes to the flamingos, nothing recommended!

  • Despite being season in which are many flamingos were not so many because of the wind I had and so took refuge inside the reserve, but if it was nice to see them. There is approaching much because if frightened they try go flying fast and they can break their wings or legs, many people bother you that the guide is not approaching, but you have to have respect and consideration with these beautiful animals
