  • Here, one has the impression, as it might have been time really. Among many things, it is also much is restored After about 2 years, I've seen but much newly restored. You can go through the whole Hacienda, the grounds and the buildings. Toilets and a small kiosk with a shady place there too. The interior building is equipped with old inventory. Beautiful to look at.

  • The former Hacienda is beautifully restored. The decaying industrial buildings with great subjects are especially recommended.

  • This Hacienda is a nice example of Mexican country-estate, its name means "the place of the green Alamo trees" in Mayan language. Buildings are mostly renovated, rooms are originally furnitured, garde...  more »
  • This Hacienda was establish in the 19th century and was used to grow and process henequen, know also as Sisal. I was used to make ropes before nylon came along and was a large and important industry in Mexico at the time. The place is a strange combination of wealthy living and an industrial complex. It is a photographer's dream with so many colours and shapes. Give yourself lots of time. The staff there were great. We drove, but you probably easily get a bus from Merida.
  • Bella hacienda de la época
  • Diving in the Mexico of the past at the time of the hacienda. Old building under renovation. I enjoyed. But the visit is quite succinct. If you are in a hurry go your way.
